Cherry Blossom

I went on a business trip to Hawaii (for a convention) on April 3rd and had to layover in Tokyo for 15 hours. Although the airline provided us with a room each to rest before catching the connecting flight to Honolulu, all of us decided to take a train ride into Tokyo instead and spent some 9 hours there before returning to the airport.
It proved to be a good decision as the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and we were able to catch locals having Hanami parties in Ueno park.

The cherry blossom as seen from my room at Nikko Hotel, Narita airport.
Cherry blossoms in full bloom.

3pm at Ueno park on Monday (Don't the people work?)

I am told these are Hanami parties. Still at Ueno Park.

A close-up of the flower.

Couldn't resist taking this. Durian in Japan. See the price.

The flowers would have dropped by now. We were fortunate to be there when the flowers were in full bloom.

HE IS RISEN

HE had no servants but they called HIM Master,
No Degree, but they called HIM Teacher.
No Medicine, but they called HIM Healer.
No army, but Kings feared HIM.
HE won no military battles, but HE conquered the world.
HE committed no crime, but they crucified HIM.
HE IS RISEN, that's why you Live!

HAPPY EASTER, everyone.

My church will be presenting an Easter Cantata on 3 nights:
April 16, 22, 23 at 8pm.
Venue : Trinity Methodist Church, PJ (behind the EPF building at Jln Gasing)
All are welcome!

" This Easter, let us take you on a humble journey through the life of a humble man, who became the greatest name in history, and whose name till this day touches the hearts of millions around the world."
His sacrifice for us - incomprehensible.
His love for us - unimaginable.
